Italy permits vaping under EU Tobacco Products Directive. 20mg/ml nicotine limit, 2ml max tank. Italy has one of Europe's larger vaping markets. No restrictions on bringing personal devices. Travelers should check current regulations before departure as rules change frequently. Carry relevant documentation and declare items proactively at customs.

EU standard allowances. For arrivals from outside the EU: 4L still wine + 16L beer + 1L spirits (>22% ABV) or 2L fortified wine (17+); 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 250g tobacco (17+). Goods: €430 for air/sea travelers, €300 for land travelers. Bringing in more than €10,000 in cash requires a declaration.
Vaping is permitted in Italy for adults 18+; carry the device in carry-on with e-liquid bottles ≤100 ml under the standard liquid-aerosol rule. Public-transit and indoor-public-area vaping is restricted under municipal ordinances even where national law permits it. No declaration needed for personal-use carriage.
