Australia overhauled its vaping laws in 2024. Nicotine-containing vapes can only be legally imported by individuals with a valid Australian prescription, under the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) personal importation scheme — limited to a 3-month supply. Non-nicotine disposable vapes are banned from retail sale but personal importation rules remain in flux. All vapes must be declared at the border. Undeclared nicotine vapes are subject to seizure. Commercial importation of vapes without TGA approval is prohibited.
