Vape / E-Cigarette requires declaration at customs (and in some cases an import permit) when carried by travelers into Norway. Norwegian Customs (Tolletaten) applies a personal-allowance threshold per item category; quantities above attract duty + the destination's VAT/GST rate (25%) plus, for select categories, an additional excise tax. EU customs harmonisation and EU Regulation 608/2013 IPR enforcement apply alongside national rules. Leaving Norway with vape / e-cigarette
Personal-use vape devices are generally free to export from Norway. However, many destinations (Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, India in commercial quantities) prohibit or heavily restrict vape import — verify destination-side rules. Lithium-battery-powered devices should be carried in cabin baggage per IATA DGR.
Travelers aged 20+ (spirits) / 18+ (wine + beer) may bring 1 L spirits OR 1.5 L wine + 2 L beer + 200 cigarettes / 250 g loose tobacco duty-free. Personal goods up to NOK 6,000 (≈USD 600).
