Alcohol / Spirits is prohibited for travelers entering Kuwait. Kuwait General Administration of Customs screens baggage at all ports of entry; the item is seized regardless of quantity, and depending on item class (narcotic / weapon / counterfeit / cultural-heritage), the traveler may face administrative or criminal penalty under the destination's controlled-substances / customs act. GCC Common Customs Law applies for GCC member states; national restrictions on alcohol / pork / political-religious content are strictly enforced. Personal-import permit pathways exist for medication categories (see Kuwait General Administration of Customs guidance) but do not apply to most prohibited items.

Leaving Kuwait with alcohol / spirits
Alcohol is prohibited in Kuwait — possession, consumption, and transport are offences, so there is no lawful personal export. Duty-free alcohol purchased airside for a destination where it is legal is handled by airport retailers under their own bonded arrangements; travellers should not carry alcohol into or through landside areas. Attempting to carry spirits through security or customs risks confiscation and prosecution.
Alcohol categorically prohibited regardless of quantity. Tobacco: 500 cigarettes / 60 cigars / 250 g loose tobacco. Personal goods up to KWD 300 (≈USD 980). Above attracts 5% GCC Common External Tariff + Kuwait Excise (where applicable).
Do not carry Alcohol / Spirits into Kuwait. If you arrive with the item by accident, surrender at the Red Channel for seizure-only treatment rather than walking the Green Channel — the latter is treated as deliberate smuggling.
