Taking gold jewellery out of Turkey
Turkey permits export of up to 5 kg gold jewellery without declaration. Above 5 kg requires CBRT (Central Bank of Turkey) approval and Istanbul Customs Gold Declaration.

Under Turkish Customs Law No. 4458 and CBRT Bylaw on Cross-Border Precious Metals, individuals may export up to 5 kg of gold jewellery per trip without documentation. Above 5 kg, a formal customs declaration and CBRT approval letter are required. Exporters must provide proof of lawful acquisition (invoice or inheritance document). Unprocessed gold (bullion/ore) export requires Mining Law compliance and MTA (Mineral Research Authority) certificate. Commercial gold exports channel through the Istanbul Stock Exchange Precious Metals Market (IAB).
