Taking alcohol / spirits out of Iran

Details

Alcohol is prohibited in Iran — possession and transport are criminal offences, so there is no lawful personal export. Duty-free alcohol purchased airside for a destination where it is legal is handled by airport retailers under their own bonded arrangements; travellers should not carry alcohol into or through landside areas. Attempting to carry spirits through security or customs risks confiscation and prosecution.
