Malaysia prohibits all cannabis-derived products including CBD under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. Importing cannabis without authorisation carries three to five years' imprisonment. Trafficking is punished with death or life imprisonment plus whipping, and possessing 200 grammes or more of cannabis raises a legal presumption of trafficking. Leaving Malaysia with cbd oil is a separate question — restricted: CBD product export from Malaysia is restricted by THC content; sub-threshold hemp-derived products face lighter treatment.

The Act does not name CBD. It defines cannabis as any part of the plant in which resin is found, whatever the quantity. Importing cannabis without the Minister's authorisation carries three to five years' imprisonment. Trafficking is punished with death or life imprisonment plus whipping, and possessing 200 grammes or more of cannabis raises a presumption of trafficking.

Leaving Malaysia with cbd oil
CBD product export is variable across jurisdictions. Hemp-derived CBD with sub-threshold THC (0.2% EU, 0.3% US) is generally exportable. Full-spectrum products above threshold THC face controlled-substance treatment under Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. Carry the manufacturer's Certificate of Analysis (COA).
Absolutely do not bring any CBD or cannabis product to Malaysia. Penalties are among the world's severest.
