Details

Malaysia prohibits all cannabis-derived products including CBD under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. Importing cannabis without authorisation carries three to five years' imprisonment. Trafficking is punished with death or life imprisonment plus whipping, and possessing 200 grammes or more of cannabis raises a legal presumption of trafficking. Leaving Malaysia with cbd oil is a separate question — restricted: CBD product export from Malaysia is restricted by THC content; sub-threshold hemp-derived products face lighter treatment.
