Australia Post accepts domestic parcels containing perfume up to 500ml total per parcel (limited-quantity DG exemption). International outbound and inbound shipments must list the alcohol-content percentage on the customs declaration; parcels with over 24% alcohol-by-volume require IATA dangerous-goods classification and shipper's declaration. Bulk perfume imports trigger TGA cosmetic-import notification and 5% customs duty plus 10% GST.
Declare perfume / fragrance at customs on arrival in Australia and carry any documentation specified in the rule. Verify current requirements with Australian Border Force (ABF) before travel.
