Personal-wear gold jewellery is generally free to export from Greece at reasonable personal-use quantities. High-value personal jewellery (typically above USD 10,000 equivalent) should be declared using the EU Cash Declaration. Gold bullion, bars, and coins face different treatment — may require advance export authorisation from the central bank for commercial quantities. Antique jewellery over cultural-property age thresholds may require an export permit.
