Panels with integrated lithium batteries must comply with UK Civil Aviation Authority guidance implementing IATA DGR: batteries under 100Wh permitted in carry-on and hold; 100-160Wh carry-on only with airline approval. High-watt solar generators (over 160Wh integrated) are unlikely to be permitted on passenger aircraft.
For battery-integrated panels, check the watt-hour rating and carry in your carry-on if it exceeds 100Wh. Declare the item to Border Force if it pushes your total goods over £390.
