An official veterinary document certifying that animal-origin food shipments meet the destination's animal-health and public-health standards.
An Export Health Certificate (EHC) is an official document signed by an Official Veterinarian or other authorised inspector in the exporting country, certifying that a shipment of animals or animal-derived products complies with the importing country's veterinary and public-health requirements. Required for most cross-border movements of meat, dairy, eggs, fish, honey, and live animals. The EHC is matched against the destination's import requirements (UK's BTOM, EU TRACES NT, USDA APHIS) at the border control post on arrival.
