Wine for personal consumption is freely exportable from Germany. Destination-country customs rules (personal-import allowances at destination) govern the arrival side. Excise duty is remitted at export for commercial quantities; personal-use quantities do not trigger commercial-export documentation. Duty-free purchases at the departure airport clear at the destination side against the destination's traveller allowance.
