Taking prescription glasses out of Italy

Details

Personal-use prescription glasses and spare pairs may be taken out of Italy without export formalities. Prescription eyewear faces no export controls anywhere. Carrying a copy of the optical prescription is useful for replacement abroad and for destination pharmacies.
