Personal-wear gold jewellery is generally free to export from United Arab Emirates at reasonable personal-use quantities. High-value personal jewellery (typically above USD 10,000 equivalent) should be declared using the Afseh electronic declaration (declare.customs.ae or the ICP app). Gold bullion, bars, and coins face different treatment — may require advance export authorisation from the central bank for commercial quantities. Antique jewellery over cultural-property age thresholds may require an export permit.
