Taking consumer drone out of Laos
Consumer drones may generally be exported from Laos for personal use; higher-specification drones face dual-use controls and many destinations restrict drone import.
Details
Personal consumer drones (DJI Mini/Mavic class) are generally exportable from Laos as consumer electronics. Higher-performance drones (extended range, heavy payload, thermal imaging) may fall under dual-use export controls (Wassenaar Arrangement implementations). The sharper constraint is destination-side: many countries require registration or permits for drone import and several prohibit it at various times — verify the arrival rule for the same route before travelling. Batteries follow cabin-carriage lithium rules.
Quantity limits
Personal-use consumer drones typically exempt; above-threshold drones require export licence
