Taking cbd oil out of United Arab Emirates

STATUS · PROHIBITED

CBD is a controlled substance in United Arab Emirates with no lawful personal possession, so there is no lawful export of CBD products.

Details

United Arab Emirates treats cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabis derivatives as controlled substances under Federal Decree-Law No. 30 of 2021 on narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, with no general personal-possession exemption for hemp-derived or low-THC products. Because lawful possession is not available to travellers, there is no personal-export pathway — CBD products found at departure screening are subject to seizure and the traveller to prosecution under the same narcotics framework that applies on entry. Travellers should not transit United Arab Emirates carrying CBD products of any THC content.
