Surrender at customs
Cofepris-prohibited vaping products may be voluntarily surrendered to SAT customs officers. Declare at Red Channel. Written receipt issued. No administrative fine if surrendered prior to secondary inspection.
Practical advice
Carry the device in carry-on (never checked baggage — lithium battery rule). Quantities above the personal-use threshold for Mexico must be declared to SAT Aduanas with proof of purchase; e-liquid containers obey the standard 100 ml carry-on liquid rule.
