Personal medical devices in Japan are regulated under the PMD Act. Personal-use travelers may bring CPAP, glucose monitors, insulin pumps and similar without Yakkan-Shoumei provided quantities are clearly personal (one device of each type, 1-month consumables). Hearing aids and mobility aids are unrestricted personal-effects items. Declare at Customs Form C No. 5360 to expedite inspection.
