Full details
Firearms is prohibited for travelers entering Israel. GCC Common Customs Law applies for GCC member states; national restrictions on alcohol / pork / political-religious content are strictly enforced. Personal-import permit pathways exist for medication categories (see Israel Tax Authority — Customs Directorate guidance) but do not apply to most prohibited items.

Leaving Israel with firearms
Export of firearms from Israel requires advance authorisation issued before departure under Firearms Law 5709-1949; Israeli Police regulations. Unlicensed firearms export is a serious criminal offence carrying substantial fines and imprisonment. Even properly licensed domestic owners require the separate export authorisation for cross-border movement, and ammunition and firearm parts (barrels, receivers) fall under the same framework. Airlines additionally require advance notice and locked-case carriage in checked baggage.
Do not carry Firearms into Israel. If you arrive with the item by accident, surrender at the Red Channel for seizure-only treatment rather than walking the Green Channel — the latter is treated as deliberate smuggling. Contact Israel Tax Authority — Customs Directorate via https://www.gov.il/en/departments/israel_tax_authority for current personal-import policy if your situation is exceptional (medical / diplomatic).
This page covers destination customs rules in Israel. Whether you can carry firearms through security, in carry-on, or in checked baggage depends on airline and screening rules — see air travel rules.
