USDA APHIS restricts dairy imports. Most liquid milk, soft cheese, and butter are prohibited from most countries due to foot-and-mouth disease concerns. Hard, aged cheeses (e.g., Parmesan, Cheddar) from approved countries may be permitted in personal quantities.
