New Zealand's Biosecurity Act 1993 requires every traveler to declare all dairy products on arrival via the Passenger Arrival Card. Commercial UHT and pasteurised retail-packaged dairy from approved countries (Australia, EU, US, UK) is generally allowed up to 10kg per person. Raw / unpasteurised milk and milk from unapproved countries is prohibited. Non-declaration triggers a NZ$400 instant infringement notice and the goods are destroyed.
