CBD derived from hemp with under 0.3% THC is federally legal in the US since the 2018 Farm Bill. Individual state laws vary. TSA does not search for CBD but will refer items that appear to violate federal law to law enforcement. Products must comply with FDA labeling rules.

Surrender at customs

CBP allows voluntary abandonment of CBD products that exceed the 0.3% THC limit. Surrender at the Red Channel or primary inspection. Form CBP-6051S (seizure notice) waived if surrendered voluntarily. Item disposed of on-site.
