Novel food regulation applies; low-THC products tolerated
Details
CBD products are in a regulatory gray area in Germany. Products with under 0.2% THC are generally tolerated for personal use. However, CBD is classified as a novel food under EU regulation and products making health claims require pharmaceutical licensing. Travelers bringing personal CBD supplies are unlikely to face issues if THC content is clearly below 0.2%.
