Purpose: Traveling · Verified: 2026-07-23
CBD Oil is generally prohibited for travelers entering Cambodia.
Details
CBD Oil is prohibited for travelers entering Cambodia. General Department of Customs and Excise screens baggage at all ports of entry; the item is seized regardless of quantity, and depending on item class (narcotic / weapon / counterfeit / cultural-heritage), the traveler may face administrative or criminal penalty under the destination's controlled-substances / customs act. ASEAN AFTA / RCEP preferential treatment for member-state goods. Cultural-property export rules vary sharply by destination. Personal-import permit pathways exist for medication categories (see General Department of Customs and Excise guidance) but do not apply to most prohibited items.
Leaving with this item
CBD is a controlled substance in Cambodia with no lawful personal possession, so there is no lawful export of CBD products.
Practical advice
Do not carry CBD Oil into Cambodia. If you arrive with the item by accident, surrender at the Red Channel for seizure-only treatment rather than walking the Green Channel — the latter is treated as deliberate smuggling. Contact General Department of Customs and Excise via https://www.customs.gov.kh/ for current personal-import policy if your situation is exceptional (medical / diplomatic).
