Indonesia requires declaration of cash or monetary instruments worth IDR 100,000,000 or more (about USD 6,500 at 2026 exchange) entering or leaving the country, on the BC 3.0 Customs Declaration Form. Undeclared amounts are subject to administrative fine of 10% of the declared amount or IDR 300,000,000 maximum, and may be seized under the Anti-Money-Laundering Law (UU 8/2010). Bank Indonesia tracks foreign-currency transfers in parallel.

Declare cash, traveler's cheques, or monetary instruments above the local threshold to Bea Cukai on arrival or departure. Use the dedicated currency-declaration channel; undeclared amounts above the threshold are subject to seizure and an administrative fine of 25-50% of the undeclared sum.
