Singapore allows 1 liter each of spirits, wine, and beer duty-free (total 3L). Travelers must be 18 or older. Singapore has very high alcohol excise taxes — duty-free purchases are significantly cheaper. Changi Airport duty-free is popular for this reason.

Transit

Transit permitted. Singapore Customs imposes no alcohol import duty on transit passengers (those with onward flights who remain airside at Changi). Duty-free allowances and Customs duty apply only to passengers who clear Singapore immigration. Alcohol in sealed bottles in checked baggage passes in transit without restriction.

Practical advice

Standard duty-free allowance applies (typically 1L spirits + 1-2L wine + beer). Declare any quantity above; excise + 9% VAT computed at Singapore Customs Red Channel. Bring purchase receipts.
