Adderall in Thailand is a Category I psychotropic substance under the Psychotropic Substances Act — manufacture, sale, and import are tightly controlled. Travelers must obtain Thai FDA pre-approval (filed at least 14 days before travel) supported by the prescription, doctor's letter, and an Embassy Letter of Authentication. Without pre-approval, Adderall is seized at the Red Channel.

At the airport

1. Adderall is prohibited under Thailand's Narcotics Act B.E. 2522. If you arrive with it, proceed to the Red Channel at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang.
2. Declare the medication and present your home-country prescription. Thai customs officers will inspect the medication.
3. Expect confiscation and possible referral to the Thai Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) or Royal Thai Police. Cooperate fully and contact your embassy if detained.

Transit

Transit not permitted. Thailand's strict narcotics laws apply to all persons in Thai territory. Adderall (amphetamine salts) is prohibited under the Narcotics Act B.E. 2522. Transit passengers at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang are not exempt from this prohibition.
