Amphetamine salts (mixed amphetamine/dextroamphetamine — the active ingredient in Adderall) are classified as Schedule III controlled drugs under Taiwan's Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act (毒品危害防制條例). Personal importation is not permitted through normal customs channels. A traveller wishing to carry these substances must obtain prior written approval from the Ministry of Justice (司法部) before arrival. In practice, such approvals are rarely granted for foreign visitors. Possession without approval constitutes a criminal offence.
