Australia prohibits the import of meat products by post. This includes fresh, dried, cured, and processed meat from most countries. Violations can result in fines and destruction of goods. The only exceptions are commercially produced and canned products from approved countries.
Do not post meat products to Australia. Packages are X-rayed and inspected by biosecurity.

All international postal articles are subject to biosecurity and customs assessment. Items valued above AUD $1,000 arriving by post require a formal import declaration and payment of duties and GST. Australia Post facilitates customs clearance.
