COUNTRY POSTING POLICY

Postal Corporation of Kenya handles international inbound mail through the Nairobi Central Sorting Office, where Kenya Revenue Authority Customs screens each parcel. Items on the national prohibition list (e.g. counterfeit goods, seditious materials, prohibited firearms) are seized without compensation. Parcels above the KES 50,000 (≈USD 360) personal-import duty-free threshold attract import duty, 16% VAT, 2% IDF (Import Declaration Fee), and 1.5% RDL (Railway Development Levy) — all collected at the sorting office before release. Door-to-door courier services (DHL, FedEx, Aramex) clear directly through KRA at JKIA cargo terminal and pass duty / VAT through to the consignee.

No posting prohibitions documented for Kenya yet.
