COUNTRY POSTING POLICY

Bangladesh Post (BPO) and NBR Customs handle inbound parcels at Dhaka and Chattogram IMCs. Personal-import parcels under BDT 2,000 duty-free; above this, customs duty (5-25%), Supplementary Duty (where applicable), 15% VAT, 5% AIT, and 4-5% AT apply. Prohibited mail: alcohol, pork products, materials offensive to Islamic values, narcotics, counterfeit goods. Personal gift parcels from family abroad clear under the Transfer of Residence regime.
