HTS
Also known as: HTSUS, Harmonized Tariff Schedule
The 10-digit tariff classification system used by US Customs.
HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, HTSUS) is the US implementation of the international HS code system, extending the universal 6-digit HS classification to 10 digits for US-specific tariff and statistical reporting. Maintained by the US International Trade Commission. Every commercial import entry to the US must declare an HTSUS classification. Common errors (one digit off) can move a product into a substantially different duty rate or trigger an OGA filing requirement.
