Customs notes
Zoll operates green / red channels at T1 and T2. EU arrivals use the blue channel. Outside-EU allowances: €430 by air (adults), 200 cigarettes, 1L spirits >22%. Cash ≥€10,000 requires written declaration.
Transit
Frankfurt distinguishes strictly between Schengen and non-Schengen zones. Non-Schengen-to-non-Schengen transfers (e.g. NYC→Frankfurt→Delhi) are airside. Schengen-to-non-Schengen crossings require passport control at the zone boundary in both directions.
